Has anyone ever heard of the practice of determining whether a mare is pregnant by hanging a nail by a string over her... spine means the mare will have a colt and side to side means a filly.
Does this work or is it just an old wives tale?...

I read an article in the March 2008 issue of Equus entitled "Watch out for cellulitis" about a retrospective study... methicillin resistant strain of staph aureus. It looks to me like it presents the same way. What is the difference?

Finding the right blacksmith for you and your horse Message
I have gone through three different farriers trying to find the right match for us. The first two had issues with one... he performs like a different horse!
Don't be afraid to change if you are not happy with your current blacksmith!...
